REDWOOD CITY, CA, November 10, 2011 – Smartling, the Translation Delivery Network (TDN) company, was named "FASTech Favorite" at the prestigious Dow Jones VentureWire FASTech 50, which honors the fifty most innovative start-ups in the United States.

As a part of the annual FASTech conference, audience members are given the opportunity to vote on their favorite FASTech 50 presentation. Founder and CEO Jack Welde took to the stage yesterday to explain the innovation behind Smartling's translation platform and its driving mission to make the entire Web truly multilingual.

In a panel discussion with investors Maha Ibrahim, General Partner, Canaan Partners and Shawn Carolan, Managing Director, Menlo Ventures, Welde discussed Smartling's view of the traditional localization market and how the company is disrupting the status quo.
