Smartling has sent some of our very finest colleagues to Phoenix, Arizona this week for the 2013 Mobile Shopping conference. The event is already off to a great start. Smartling has a booth at the conference, so stop on by Booth # 8 if you are attending. We’d love to see you!

Or perhaps we’ve already crossed paths. Smartling sponsored last night’s reception, providing a wonderful opportunity to mingle with representatives of close to 200 well-known brands. Conference attendees shared their interest in seeking out help to define and refine their mobile sales strategies. Of course, Smartling is happy to help. As a cloud-based enterprise translation management company, we know a thing or two about what it means to globalize your mobile offerings.

For those of you at the conference, we hope you caught our VP of Sales, Matt DeLoca, as he presented an Innovation Spotlight today. Matt’s presentation, “Localize Mobile to Boost Sales Globally”, described how businesses are succeeding in new markets and how an agile approach to translation and localization allows you to maximize your market penetration and global reach.

Matt is a technologist, through and through (don’t let his title fool you). He just prefers working with clients to see our technology improve their bottom line. Before Smartling, Matt led Sales at The FeedRoom, prior to its acquisition by KIT Digital; he also helped grow the business of several other digital media start-ups, including Virage and Cinebase. He began his career in field Sales at Apple, selling into the large enterprise accounts in NYC. He’s picking up French in his spare (!) time. Matt earned his BS in Mechanical Engineering from Bucknell University.
