Smartling, the cloud-based enterprise translation software company, today announced the Smartling Referral Partner Program, offering language service providers the ability to extend a powerful platform for website globalization, mobile app localization and digital content translation to their customers and prospects.

Through the program, partners can augment their service portfolio and add a new stream of passive revenue with referral fees of up to 20%. Meanwhile, they can move beyond time-consuming and expensive manual translation processes to reduce project management costs and speed up project delivery for their customers. Smartling will host a webinar on Tuesday, February 18 with more details on how partners can join.

“We’re thrilled to work with language service providers who can use our technology to immediately expand their translation services portfolio and quickly grow their business,” said Nataly Kelly, VP of Market Development, Smartling, Inc. “Now any translation provider—no matter how big or small—can translate a website or mobile app quickly, easily, and without having to deal with the technical details.”

Smartling puts the entire translation process in the cloud, which means many benefits for translation providers’ end clients:

Save time. Providers can ensure on-time delivery with a seamless experience that automates the ingestion of content to be translated while expediting translation workflows.

Save money. Customers benefit from translation re-use, only a one word translation mini, as well as savings on infrastructure costs and internal staff time.

Accelerate translation. Providers can turn around multilingual websites in extremely short timeframes, while requiring only minimal client-side integration.

Easily add more languages. Up-front integration makes requesting new languages simple and cost-effective, generating more services opportunities for translation providers.

As a result of successfully piloting the program over the past six months, Smartling already partners with more than 50 translation agencies around the world.

SimulTrans, a translation service provider founded in 1984 with eight offices across the globe, uses Smartling to cut costs, save time, and speed up delivery to their customers. Since becoming a referral partner, SimulTrans and Smartling have launched successful joint website translation projects for customers in various sectors, such as manufacturing and travel.

“As more of our existing and prospective customers want website and app localization, we have a sales advantage with Smartling. Before Smartling, the constant updates of website translation with files flying around and tons of project management manpower was extremely time-consuming and expensive,” said Li-Jiuan Jang, Director of Operations, SimulTrans. “With the Smartling platform, project management and version tracking are effortless for both us and the customer. It automates and simplifies everything, and is very intuitive, transparent and scalable. We all love it!”

In Every Language, a translation agency founded more than eight years ago offering over 180 languages, cites the transparency that Smartling provides as a major differentiator for their business.

“With Smartling, our customers can go in any time and see what is going on—no smoke and mirrors,” said Terena Bell, CEO, In Every Language. “Beyond the transparency is the instantaneous increase in quality. Seeing the translations in context allows you to fix the translation as you go, saving everyone time. The cost savings are a by-product of doing a great job from the get-go.”

Anja Jones Translation is a UK-based translation agency that has grown from one freelance translator to a network of more than 35 translators in just over three years. Thanks to Smartling, the agency specializes in website and app translations for German, French and UK English and works with many high-profile clients throughout the world.

“For us, Smartling is an enabling tool and game-changer that has amplified our freedom to grow our business and provide high-quality translation even on technically complex projects,” said Anja Jones, Founder. “Because the platform works in the cloud, no software investment is required, and our translators can be up and running within a half hour.”

Smartling’s partner program enables translation agencies to take advantage of the growing trend of website and mobile app localization services. Hundreds of companies across a diverse set of industries already rely on the Smartling Translation Management System to power their translation and localization, including SurveyMonkey, Spotify, Twilio, Shutterstock, Foursquare, Path, Vimeo, Uber, GoPro, and Stella & Dot.

The Smartling Translation Management Platform offers real-time visibility into and control over the many aspects of a translation project in one easy-to-use, collaborative, cloud-based service that quickly converts and manages multilingual business content.

By putting the entire translation process in the cloud, Smartling exponentially improves accuracy and speed.
